On 1 February, Consul General Pan paid a visit to the Council of the Newcastle City, where he was received by the Leader of the City Council, Councillor Nick Forbes, the Chief Executive of the City Council, Mr Barry Rowland, and the Director of Policy, Strategy and Communications of the City Council, Mr Andrew Lewis. Mr Pan's wife Consul Zhu Yu and Consul Zhao Jixian attended the meeting.
