Consul General Zheng Xiyuan Meets with Executive Director of Manchester China Forum

Consul General Zheng Xiyuan met with Rhys Whalley, executive director of Manchester China Forum at the Consulate on August 17th, 2018 in the company of Consul Lyu Xiaomei.

Rhys briefed on the function of Manchester China Forum and expressed the will to promote local understanding of China and to continuously expand and strengthen Manchester’s China links. He anticipated Chinese Consulate General to call on local Chinese community to actively connect UK and China into closer cooperation.

Consul General Zheng Xiyuan highly recognized Manchester China Forum’s achievement in promoting China-UK friendship and expanding China-UK cooperation. He pledged further cooperation with Manchester China Forum in advancing China-UK mutual understanding and mutual accommodation. He assured Rhys that Chinese Consulate always encouraged local integration among local Chinese community and urged them to play a constructive role in bridging the two countries.
