On March 21st, Consul General Tang Rui attended the Event of the Promotion Photo Shooting of the 10th UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival at the Salford Watersports Centre. The event was also jointly attended by Paul Dennett，Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester and Mayor of Salford City, Yang Hanxin, Chairman of Xinhua Chinese Association, Neil Pickles, Chairman of British Dragon Boat Racing Association, and the representatives from sponsoring companies.
The 10th UK Chinese Dragon Boat Festival will be held from the 8th to 9th of June at Salford Watersports Centre in Greater Manchester. Over decades-long development, the Dragon Boat Festival has already become the largest dragon boat racing event in Europe, attracting tens of thousands of people to join it annually. The Festival has made positive contribution in enriching local recreational and sports life, promoting multi-cultural and inclusive society, and strengthening people to people exchanges between China and UK.
