Consul General Tang Rui Meets with Clive Memmott Chief Executive at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce

On March 26, Consul General Tang Rui visited the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and met with Chief Executive Clive Memmott. They engaged in an in-depth exchange of views on topics such as deepening China-UK local economic and trade cooperation.

Consul General Tang Rui first introduced the latest developments in China's economy and stated that in recent years, economic and trade cooperation between China and the North of England region, including Greater Manchester, has been continuously deepening. The potential  economic cooperation between the two sides is quite significant. We are willing to work together with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce to organize various types of economic and trade matchmaking events to help promote better development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Memmott expressed that the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce attaches great importance to the Chinese market and is planning to hold a China-themed economic and trade exchange event in July. We are willing to work closely with the Consulate General and the China Chamber of Commerce to deeply explore cooperation opportunities and bring tangible benefits to enterprises of both countries.

Consul General Tang Rui also provided detailed information on the latest measures facilitating payments for foreigners visiting China.
