In order to facilitate people-to-people exchanges between China and foreign countries, the following adjustment of Chinese visa and entry policies have been made,  effective as of 0:00 Beijing time on 15 March 2023:

I. Valid visas issued before 28 March 2020 will be reactivated.

II. All categories of Chinese visas can be applied for. Please refer to the website of the Chinese Embassy and consulates general in the UK for details: Notice on Further Adjustment of Visa Application to China

III. Port visas are no longer suspended.

IV. The following visa-free policies will be resumed: 

Visa-free entry to Hainan for relevant countries, 15-day visa free travel for cruise groups at Shanghai ports, visa-free entry to Guangdong Province for foreigners' groups from Hong Kong and Macao SARs, visa-free entry to Guilin of Guangxi Autonomous Region for tourist groups from ASEAN countries.
