On 8 September 2014, Consul General Pan Yundong bid farewell to the Leeds City Council at the Leeds Civic Hall. He was received warmly by the Lord Mayor Councillor David Congreve, the Leader of the City Council Councillor Keith Wakefield, and the Chief Executive of the City Council Tom Riordan. Consul Zhu Yu, wife of Consul General Pan, Consul Zhao Jixian, and Ms Karen Murgatroyd of Leeds City Council attended the meeting.
