Dear overseas Chinese,
It’s been a great honor for me to be the 13th Consul General of the Consulate General of China in Manchester and to embark on a new journey in the beautiful North of England. I would like to extend my sincerest greetings and heartfelt thanks to all friends and overseas Chinese from all walks of life who have long supported the development of China-UK relations and the cooperation between the North of England and China.
The peoples of China and the United Kingdom have a long history of interaction. As two major powers with great influence on the world, a good bilateral relationship is not only in the fundamental interests of the two peoples, but also conducive to the world peace, stability and development. Regional cooperation is an important component of national relations. In recent years, with the joint efforts of both sides, China and the North of England have developed fruitful cooperation in various fields such as infrastructure, trade and investment, life and health, green development, education, culture and sports, etc., and the future holds great potential.
China has realized the first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all aspects, and is now marching towards the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects and promoting the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through a Chinese path to modernization. The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held in 2022, which has set forth a grand blueprint for China's future development, and has also provided an important opportunity for practical cooperation between China and the UK. The China-UK relationship is standing at a critical juncture, and I firmly believe that as long as both sides respect each other and stay cooperative and inclusive, we will be able to promote the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.
I would like to work with all colleagues of the Chinese Consulate General in Manchester to continue to uphold the concept of "diplomacy for the people",, provide high-quality and efficient consular services to overseas Chinese, work with friends from all walks of life in the consular areas to promote regional cooperation, and promote the China-UK relations to grow steadily and sustainably. Let's join hands to create a great future!
