Chinese Consulate General in Manchester Donates PPEs to Greater Manchester in Support of Its Fight against COVID-19

Recently, with the number of hospital cases in northwest England overtaking London, Greater Manchester has become the epicenter of the Covid-19 outbreak. PPEs such as face masks, protective clothing, etc. are urgently needed in local hospitals, nursing homes, community centres, etc. Chinese Consulate General in Manchester raised funds to donate 30,000 medical masks, 21,000 pairs of medical protective gloves and 500 protective clothing to Manchester and Trafford Mutual Aid Hub(Medical supplies collection and redeployment centre in Greater Manchester).

On 26 May, 2020, Deputy Consul General Fan Yingjie took the lead to arrange the delivery of donation. Manchester and Trafford Mutual Aid Hub expressed their appreciation to the consulate after receiving the donation on May 7.
